Second person dies weeks after shooting at Caledon home

A second victim of a shooting at a Caledon home last month has died.

Ontario Provincial Police say a 55-year-old woman from Caledon, injured in the November shooting, recently died of her injuries.

According to OPP, officers in Caledon were called to a reported shooting at a residence on Mayfield Rd. shortly before midnight on Nov. 20.

Cops found one person, a 57-year-old man, dead at the scene. Two other female victims were transported to hospital in serious condition.

That is now down to one person clinging to life.

Police say the names of the victims cannot be released at this time.

Investigators believe that multiple individuals were involved in the shooting.

One person was last seen entering a black pickup truck, which then travelled westbound on Mayfield Rd.

It is also believed the truck was later involved in a vehicle fire on Olde Baseline and Creditview Rds.

Investigators are still seeking dashcam footage of both scenes between the hours of 11 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.

Police are asking if anyone observed the vehicle, or have it captured on dashcam footage in Caledon or anywhere in the Region of Peel from 5 p.m. to midnight on Nov. 20, to please contact police. If anyone has any information that may assist the investigation, they should contact the Caledon OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
